“Phase I: Passenger Car” of The Lightweight Forging Initiative Continues

“Phase I: Passenger Car” of The Lightweight Forging Initiative achieved successful results in 2013 and 2014, with a lightweight potential of 42 kg. These results were presented to the automotive industry at a concluding colloquium on 18-19 November 2014 in Stuttgart. The Initiative continues; the results attained will continue to be examined for feasibility together with the Design and Development departments at the OEMs.
